We are our currently in-network with Cigna and United Healthcare.
You may still have acupuncture coverage by checking for any out-of-network acupuncture benefits. Treatment visits are paid to us directly at the above self-pay rates and then reimbursed to you from your insurance company if acupuncture is covered. Please let us know so that we can provide you with a detailed invoice (superbill).
We accept all FSA, HSA and HRA funds. Acupuncture is generally an eligible expense, but please check your specific plan for complete eligibility details. We are not an administrator of these funds and cannot guarantee eligibility.
Medicare supplemental plans that are offered through Cigna and United Healthcare may have acupuncture coverage. We cannot bill Medicare directly (and cannot accept Medicare), but if you have coverage through a United Healthcare supplemental plan we can help verify your acupuncture benefits.
Calling Your Insurance Company about Acupuncture Benefits:
- Are acupuncture benefits in-network or out-of-network. Coverage can differ widely as well as deductibles.
- Ask about any deductibles and how much has been met so far. Are they based on a calendar year? Are they waived for acupuncture benefits?
- Ask about any co-insurance and co-pays in regards to acupuncture. They can apply even after meeting your deductible.
- Ask about any limitations to acupuncture treatment? Some plans only cover acupuncture in lieu of anesthesia or nausea from chemotherapy or pregnancy.
- Do you need a referral for acupuncture?
